Massah
*Massah = "temptation" (also 'Meribah')
the place in the wilderness where the Israelites tested Jehovah
Exodus 17:
7. And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted יְהֹוָה saying, Is יְהֹוָה among us, or not?
Deuteronomy 6:
16. Ye shall not tempt יְהֹוָה your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
Deuteronomy 9:
22. And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked יְהֹוָה to wrath.
Deuteronomy 33:
8. And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

Numbers 20:
24. Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

51. Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
